Fall Field Highlight: Kaitlynn Dacey and Johnston Health Hospital
Kaitlynn Dacey, an MSW student at NC State, made the decision to return to her hometown this fall. Beginning her final year in the MSW Program, she is completing her field internship studies at Johnston Health Hospital (JHH). As a native of Smithfield, North Carolina, Kaitlynn is excited to work with the people in her local community.

La-Mine Perkins is a full-time NC State MSW student, full-time mom, and the Community Engagement Specialist at NC Child. HRSA Awards NC State Department of Social Work $2,242,725 to Address National Opioid Crisis through Workforce Expansion
The Health Resources and Services Administration has awarded the NC State Department of Social Work $1,343,963 to train and prepare students to become clinical social workers to combat opioid use disorders (OUD) and other substance use disorders (SUD).
